Please join us on November 5, 2011 at the New Testament Baptist Church, E. 38th and Hull, Des Moines, IA between 1:00pm - 5:00pm to show respect and support for the family. Ralph is an American Legion Son and Rider. We're requesting 50+ bikes, weather permitting of course.

Ride with us on our group ride on Saturday August 27th (we’ve planned PLENTY of stops so newbie riders are welcome!!)
Ride on your own anytime, any 663 mile route within the state before October 31st.

American Legion Riders post 663 Annual Little Ride Welcome to our Inaugural “Annual Little Ride”!! The Annual Little Ride is a 663 (minimum) mile ride over any route within the state of Iowa, to be completed in one continuous ride in 18 hours or less. THIS IS NOT A RACE!! A little simple math will show that we have planned the ride with a minimum of 10 stops of at least 20 minutes (hopefully every 66.3 miles!!) for a “comfort” break. Your reward for completing the Annual Little Ride??? A HOT LOOKING patch telling the world that you rode in and completed the Legion Riders Post 663 Annual Little Ride and that you now have a sore ass to prove it! Our goal in building this ride is twofold, first, to bring a memorable, fun, ANNUAL event to our area, and secondly, to aid local veterans and their families. There is a fee of $30.00 per bike for this event. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT WILL GO TO BENEFIT VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES!! We hope that our Annual Little Ride will become one of the most memorable annual events in the state! COME RIDE 663 WITH 663!!!! WHERE All rides will begin and end at the American Legion Post 663, 6805 Douglas Ave, Urbandale, IA 50322 WHEN A group ride is scheduled for Saturday, August 27th 2011. We will meet at the Legion at 5:00 am and kickstands up no later than 6:00 am, YES we know that’s early, but we are trying to minimize riding in the dark! We will form groups of 20 or fewer bikes for this group ride and stagger our starts in 5 minute increments. HOWEVER, you may take the Annual Little Ride at YOUR convenience, any time between August 1st, 2011 and October 31st, 2011. Simply complete the entry form and follow the documentation rules (to be posted on our website). Entry forms MUST be received (either via email from our website (www.alr663.com) or via US Mail to: 2310 Four Seasons Drive, Ankeny, IA 50021) within 10 days of your ride. Ride Documentation must be received within 10 days following your ride by the same methods as the entry form. RULES SIMPLE!! Along with your ride documentation, provide us with copies of your fuel receipts along with your odometer reading at each fuel stop. In addition, you must provide us with a total odometer (start mileage and end mileage) reading and a signed start and end witness statement (also in the documentation). You may have a passenger with you on the ride, but only one patch per bike will be awarded, one additional patch may be purchased for $5.00.
